Harry S. Sprinker Recreation Center,
located
between Parkland and Spanaway,
WA., has been owned and operated under Pierce
County Parks & Recreation since the land was granted to the
County in 1959. The multi-purpose recreation building & ice arena
were built in 1976. The Center features a full-sized Ice Arena,
Indoor and Outdoor
Tennis Courts, Indoor
Racquet-Ball courts, Outdoor
Skateboard Park, Meeting &
Conference Rooms, New
Ball-fields,
Rock-climbing, Year-round
Adult and Youth
recreational programs plus professional ice-skating and
tennis coaching.
Sprinker's ice-skating instruction program has received ratings of 10th
highest in the nation, and was one of 20 facilities to receive the 'Excellence
On Ice' designation from
PSA. Sprinker Recreation
Center proudly staffs some of the
most highly-qualified
Ice Coaching
Professionals; and our ISI "Learn
to Skate" Program has been a terrific success; teaching
people of all ages to ice-skate. From recreational fun to
competitive training, Sprinker has the ideal
coach and program for you!
